Brief Description:  Tie down, cleco left inboard skin

The bracket location I chose for the Sonex style tie down turned out to be too close to one of the bottom access holes when I fitted the skin. I moved the bracked one bolt hole inboard for clearance.

The outboard end of the aft spar has two AN3-15A bolts that secure the aft pin guide block (W15 detail B). The bolt heads prevent inserting the rivets on the upper and lower skin at that location. The other fasteners in this area are AN525 washer head bolts and allow clearance for the rivets. I replaced the AN3-15A bolts with AN525-10R24 bolts. These heads allow at least a minimal clearance for the rivets.

I bought some plastic control cable fairings for the rudder cables from Aircraft Spruce. I opened up the cable hole and sanded the fairings in preparation for priming. The holes are large enough to push the swaged fork cable end through.

Checked that all hardware was installed and secure on the left inboard wing and clecoed the skin and doubler in place. That wing is now ready to rivet.
